One thing I know: The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve."
Albert Schweitzer
CAMPAIGN BUZZ

I am supporting Cindy for Osseo School Board due to her experience, energy and compassion.  My first experience with Cindy was when the city was uniting to push & fund the teen homeless shelter.  During the months leading up the final vote and approval for the shelter, she worked tirelessly within our church of St Gerard and other churches helping to gather not just moral support for the shelter but also financial support.  She continued to build bridges between different faith institutions and reached out to new groups to include them in the process.  Along with this compassion and energy, she has the experience of a career spent helping students, teachers and staff be successful in an educational environment.

Isn't this what people want in their school board member?  A person who works hard, reaches across different opinions to form a consensus of action and never quits.  Cindy is that person !!

The Campaign Kick-off Party and Fundraiser was fun!

Jack and I had a great time walking in the Lion's Roar Parade in

Osseo.  Beautiful fall day to be out in the sunshine.  It was great

to meet families from our school district.  Thanks to Kristin Bahner

for sharing her parade spot with us.

I enjoyed door-knocking on Saturday.  It was good to                                                                                 meet neighbors and learn about the Osseo schools from                                                                           their perspective. I got my steps in!

LETTER: Vote Shevlin-Woodcock for Osseo School Board

September 25, 2018

To the Editor:

Cindy Shevlin-Woodcock is uniquely qualified to serve on the Osseo School Board. She has long-term, significant experience in education as a teacher and administrator. To improve her ability to meet the needs of her profession, she completed advanced degrees in teaching, educational administration and leadership. But most important, she understands student needs, and is passionately committed to meeting those needs. Her rudder has always been what is best for students.

My experience with her demonstrated she works from a base of respect, listening to understand, and a commitment to hard work. She understands it takes cooperative decision making to meet student needs. She understands districts must operate through an approved responsible budget, and will do the best to balance student needs with the impact on property tax.

Cindy Shevlin-Woodcock has quality experience, training, and is passionately committed to doing the work. She will make an excellent school board member!

LETTER: Vote for Cindy Shevlin-Woodcock for Osseo School Board

October 5, 2018

To the Editor:

In recent weeks I have had the opportunity to meet several of the candidates that are running for the Osseo School Board and I would like to share my very positive impression of Cindy Shevlin-Woodcock.

I will be voting for Cindy — first for her 40 years of experience in education and secondly, for her passion for the success of all students. Cindy is committed to public education, and to pushing our school district to be a World-Class destination district.

Most importantly, Cindy has a clear vision for what it will take to get us there. Cindy is very personable and approachable, she listened to me first, and then asked questions about my family and experience in the Osseo School District where my two children attended neighborhood schools for their K-12 education.

I am convinced Cindy will be the experienced and knowledgeable voice for our community. Join me in voting for Cindy Shevlin-Woodcock on Nov. 6.
